Longe Art promotes and sells African art and artifacts of up and coming artist to a wider audience
It all began on a Sunday morning in church in 2005 when Bamidele, the founder listened to a talk by a visiting minister that said amongst other things why Africans remain poor.
“Africans will continue to experience poverty because it does not process what it produces”.
Africans produce cocoa but do not process them into chocolates
Africans produce diamonds and gold but do not process them into the finest jewellery
Africans produce fruit and nuts but do not process them into finished products
The talk made me desire creating excellent finished products in Africa.
In 2006, Lóngẹ́ Ltd was formed. It started by making African food and selling African art to friends and family on a small scale. Lóngẹ́ Ltd now trades as Longe Naturally Africa.
